Saturday Series Spotlight- Rachel Dove

Hi everyone,

It’s Saturday, which means its time for another series post and today is the turn of Rachel Dove on the Triple S post.

About Rachel:

I am a wife, mother of two boys, perpetual student, avid reader and writer of words. I sometimes sleep, always have eye bags and dream of retiring to a big white house in Cornwall, with 2 shaggy dogs, drinking wine on my seafront balcony whilst creating works of romantic fiction. All done with immaculate make up and floaty dresses.

In the meantime I nearly always remember to brush my hair, seldom have time to look in a mirror and write many, many to-do lists.

My first solo novel, Crossing Life Lines is out now in Kindle and paperback format. Look out for my horror shorts, published through Bayou Brew Publishing: The House of Sugar Blood, August 2013 and Uni Assassin, out now, and my short story, Mallow Girl, out now.

In July 2015, I won the Prima magazine and Mills & Boon Flirty Fiction Competition, with my entry, The Chic Boutique on Baker Street, out now in ebook and paperback.

Series Spotlight

I have never written a series of books before, but when I finished The Chic Boutique on Baker Street, I realised that I loved Westfield, and the characters and location had so much more to say.

The Chic Boutique is the book I wrote last year after winning the Prima and Mills & Boon Flirty Fiction Competition. The book has been out since late April this year and has been getting great reviews, which I am thrilled about. I am working on a different book at present, due to be completed by the end of the year, and then I have two more in the Westfield series planned, featuring new characters and locations, and perhaps a couple of established ones will pop up too!

I love reading, and picking a series of books was very hard, but I still say that The Hunger Games trilogy is a good series. I just love the characters, and the storyline, and I always reread them every year.

My favourite series however are the Sookie Stackhouse books by Charlaine Harris. You may know that this series was adapted for TV in the form of True Blood. I love the TV series too, but the books, as always, are better and there are plenty to go at too! They are very unique, and I love her easy style of writing. I still have book 1 in her latest series on my bookcase to read, but I dare not in case I get obsessed as my TBR pile is already so huge!

Huge thanks to Rachel for joining me on the blog today! 🙂
