About the book:
A psychopath more frightening than Hannibal Lecter.
He has planned well. He leads two lives. In one he’s just like anyone else. But in the other he is the caretaker of his family’s macabre museum.
Now the time has come to add to his collection. He is ready to feed his obsession, and he is on the hunt.
Jakey Frith and Clara Foyle have something in common. They have what he needs.
What begins is a terrifying cat-and-mouse game between the sinister collector, Jakey’s father and Etta Fitzroy, a troubled detective investigating a spate of abductions.

About the author:
I had Rattle on my TBR shelves for a few weeks, so I decided to make it my last read of 2016 and what an excellent book to finish with.
If you’re looking for a book that will grab you immediately and not let you go until the final pages, then definitely add Rattle to your lists. Packed full of twists and turns, it will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat. I couldn’t stop reading and one more chapter was never enough!
Rattle is a thriller first and foremost, but there is also real depth to the characters and their own issues, which makes the reader empathise with them I think. This is clever because the reader becomes invested in their fates and will race through the book to find out whats happening!
As for the antagonist, you all know by now that I like a good deranged character. Well its safe to say I wasn’t disappointed with that character in Rattle. Creepy, introverted and with an absolutely warped world view, I really liked him! Odd, I know, but you know what I mean. The things he did are terrible, but I do love a good killer!
No plot spoilers, but its safe to say I thoroughly enjoyed Rattle. An absolutely gripping book, with a sense of menace that creeps up on you until you realise you’re holding your breath!!! Loved it!
