Hi guys,
So, it’s time for my monthly book haul post, and I’ve been very good this month. I’ve tried to avoid book-buying, but let’s face it, I have an addiction to feed. Plus, I did what I always seem to do on the last day of the month, yep, I bought some books!
For any of you who donβt know, this is where I list the books that have made Bibliophile Book Club their new home in the previous month. The books are usually bought books, ARCβs sent from publishers, Netgalley review books and just basically any books I get go on here.
Here we go…
- The Lost Ones by Ben Cheetham
- But For The Grace of God by Paul Grzegorzek
- Reconstructing Amelia by Kimberly McCreight
- The Cleaner by Mark Dawson
- The Marriage Lie by Kimberly Belle
- Don’t Wake Up by Liz Lawlor
- The Roses of May by Dot Hutchinson
- Obsession by Amanda Robson
- Midnight Blue by Simone Van Der Vlugt
- If We Were Villains by M. L. Rio
- The Thirst by Jo Nesbo
- The Child by Fiona Barton
- The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas
- The Escape by C. L. Taylor
- Everything But The Truth by Gillian McAllister
- Afterlife by Marcus Sakey
- I Found You by Lisa Jewell
- The Mayfly by James Hazel
- Dead Ends by Erin Lange
- Knights of the Borrowed Dark by Dave Rudden
- The Forever Court by Dave Rudden
- Strange The Dreamer by Laini Taylor
See!!! I told you I was good this month. I managed to read 17 books in April, so I only have a deficit of 5 books in what I took in versus how many I read, so I’m guessing this is my best month yet, but to be honest this is the first time I’ve ever actually checked books read vs. books received!
Have you read any of these? Would you? Do let me know in the comments π
I got approved for Knights of the Borrowed Dark and The Forever Court by Dave Rudden last month and read and reviewed them both. I really loved the first one, while I thought the second fell a little flat – perhaps a sophomore slump before a greater third book. Dave Rudden is clearly incredibly creative and talented as an author though! I hope you enjoy!
Ooh that’s great to hear! I got to meet Dave on Saturday so naturally had to go and get his books! We have a 7 year old who’s apparently a bit young for them, so I get to read them before him to see what they’re like!
Oh that’s awesome you met him!! I definitely think 7 would be a bit too young, but once he’s a bit older he’d probably love him. It seems like a series boys would love.
It does sound brilliant! Maybe in about a year when he’s nearly 9! Even Dave said he might be a bit young so probably best to wait a while!
OMG you’ve been a very good girl!!! hahahahaha!
I read Reconstructing Amelia by Kimberly McCreight two years ago and liked it… until the end! I had pre-ordered Obsession by Amanda Robson and I’m dying to get a Nesbo! Everything But The Truth by Gillian McAllister is like THE BOOK I WANT!!!!
I was SO GOOD Donna! π Gillian’s book was only 99p on kindle! And I’ve just been on there buying again but shhhhhh… π Sure any books I buy for myself won’t be read for years anyway π
