Morning all!

I’m up to April with these! Yay!

Godsgrave (The Nevernight Chronicle, Book 2): The Nevernight Chronicle (2)

If I’m not wrong, Godsgrave has been my only five star read on Goodreads this year. I had been saving this one because the wait for Darkdawn was so long and it was worth the wait. This series is one of the best fantasy series out there, and if you haven’t read it yet, you absolutely NEED to add it to your TBR. I don’t want to say anything about the plot because Kristoff is a master, and I’m not even remotely able to talk about his writing greatness. Godsgrave was everything I wanted it to be, and so much more. It has left me bereft, shocked and impatient. But on the plus side, the wait for Darkdawn is now only weeks away and I can’t wait to get back into it!

Legendary: The magical Sunday Times bestselling sequel to Caraval

I ordered Legendary from the library before I even finished Caraval because I knew this was a series I was going to really like. Thankfully I wasn’t wrong. Legendary is the second book, and it was just as enjoyable. I really like the characters and I loved the idea behind Caraval. I read this one quite quickly after finishing Caraval as I was eager to see where the author would go with the second book. Magical, action-packed and fun, its definitely one to add to your TBR if you like books with magic!

Lady Smoke

Lady Smoke (The Ash Princess Trilogy)

I loved Ash Princess when I read it, so I was delighted to see the sequel was out. Lady Smoke is a dark and gripping read. While its a little bit long, I found that I got caught up in the story early on and couldn’t put it down. It has pirates, hostages, war and rebellion in this one and its a really engaging follow up to Ash Princess. I think I actually preferred the depth of Lady Smoke to the first book, there was just a lot more reading in it. Recommended for sure!

The Girl King

The Girl King

I had seriously high hopes for The Girl King when I saw it on social media. It sounded like something I would love, and while it is definitely a decent fantasy read, I found myself left wanting. I really liked the characters, and the premise sounded great but I just wanted more!!! Still though, its a good book. Great writing, and scope for so much more, so I would still happily recommend The Girl King!
