Weekly Wrap Up (x2)

Hi everyone,

I didn’t do a wrap up post last week, so this week I have a bumper two week wrap up where you can catch up on everything that’s been going on!

Although I’ve been reading, my mojo is still AWOL. I’ve been reading some great books, and I know they’re great, but I’m just not in the form so they haven’t been hitting the mark! I’ve read 157 books this year though, so I guess I can’t complain!

I took part in an event online for THE Book Club on Facebook and I was on the panel for mystery/thriller books, so I did up a post with my Top 20 all time fave M/T books which you can see here:

My Top 20 ATF Mystery/ Thriller books….

I read and reviewed an FBI K9 book:

Lone Wolf by Sara Driscoll

The usual First Monday Crime Spotlight was on Alex Marwood:

*First Monday Crime* Spotlight on Alex Marwood

My favourite post of the month went up:

November Book Haul

My awesome guest reviewer , Ellen, read and reviewed The Poisoned Rock:

The Poisoned Rock by Robert Daws *Ellen’s Review*

I read and reviewed Jackie Baldwin’s debut to coincide with paperback publication:

Dead Man’s Prayer by Jackie Baldwin

The lovely Susan at The Book Trail had me answering some Christmas themed questions:

The Book Trail Advent Calendar Day 3…

I took part in a Bloodhound Books blog tour:

*Blog Tour* Malcolm Hollingdrake Hell’s Gate

I read, LOVED, and reviewed a forthcoming Orenda Books title:

Six Stories by Matt Wesolowski

And on Friday, I finally posted my top reads of the year, which has turned out to be my most popular post EVER on the blog:

Top 13 Books of 2016…

As for what’s coming up next week, I’m posting another top reads post tomorrow from Dave Hardy, where he lists some stellar books he’s read this year.

I’m also going to post up some reviews, because I’m a bit behind so there should be reviews up for the following books at some stage:

  • The River at Night by Erica Ferencik
  • Duplicity by Sibel Hodge
  • The Girl Before by J. P. Delaney
  • Lies by T. M. Logan

So yeah, that’s been my recent weeks. How has yours been? Read anything I shuld add to my TBR? Do let me know! 🙂

Weekly Wrap Up November 13th

 Hi everyone,

So it’s weekly wrap up time again! Oddly enough I’m still in the depths of this reading slump, yet I’ve managed to read two books and I’m on my 3rd this week. I’m reading out of necessity as opposed to reading for pleasure which means that I’m feeling a bit like I have homework and I don’t want to do it 😱

On the blog this week, I had a mix of blog tours and reviews. Huge thanks to Ellen who sent me her review for A Man With One Of Those Faces too! Here’s a chronological list of what you may have missed on the blog this week:

*Blog Tour* Beneath The Ashes by Jane Isaac

Dark Fragments by Rob Sinclair

*Blog Tour* My Sister’s Bones by Nuala Ellwood

Coming up next week for definite, I have two blog tours:

While You Were Sleeping by Kathryn Croft

As well as these, I have a couple of posts hanging around that I may try and finish and get them posted up. Book related but not book reviews!

Also, I’m (hopefully) taking part in the Two Crime Writers and a Microphone podcast! This is the brainchild of Steve Cavanagh and Luca Veste and having listened to the first one, it’s definitely one to watch out for if you’re into crime books and brilliantly funny book chat. I’ll be recommending a couple of books on there and I’m beyond nervous because I’m more at ease behind a keyboard than a microphone! 😂
So yeah, that’s been my week here! How has your week been? Read anything that I need to know about? 🤔 Do let me know in the comments…

Weekly Wrap Up Oct 15th

Hey everyone,

It’s weekly wrap up time. Funnily enough, as I type this, its only Saturday which means I actually had some time to get organised! Now if only I could figure out how to stretch out time so I could read all of the books I need to… 🙈📚

This week was quiet enough with reading again. I managed to read 3 books, maybe 4 by the time this gets posted! So roughly 134/135 books read this year so far!

Anyway, as regards blog posts this past week, I had 5 posts. A relatively low key week but I think that’ll all change in the coming weeks as I’ve got loads coming up!

This week I read and reviewed the latest Mel Sherratt:

ms1

The Girls Next Door by Mel Sherratt

I had two blog tours on Thursday and Friday for James Carol and Graham Smith:

*Blog Tour* The Killing Game by JS Carol

*Blog Tour* I Know Your Secret by Graham Smith

I snuck in a review for a 2017 release that you all need to read if you love psych thrillers:

sp1

Behind Her Eyes by Sarah Pinborough 2017 WatchList

And last but by no means least, I was on the blog tour for Anne Coates and her new book, Dancers in the wind:

ac1

*Blog Tour* Dancers in the Wind by Anne Coates

Next week there’s some more great blog tours here:

My ever-wonderful guest reviewer Ellen is on the tour for PsychoAnalysis by V. R. Stone.

psychoanalysisblogcovernoborder

I have Rebecca Bradley joining me on the blog again with a guest post as part of the Three Weeks Dead publication blog tour.

I’m also on the blog tour for A. J. Waines and her forthcoming book Inside The Whispers!

So! That’s been my week and what’s coming up here next week too!

How has you’re week been? Have you read anything I need to know about?? 😉📚

Weekly Wrap Up Oct 9th

Hi everyone,

This will be short and sweet but better late than never with this! Been having a bit of a rough couple of days here so I didn’t get a chance to get near my laptop until now!

I’ve had a relatively quiet week on the blog, and probably an even quieter reading week. I managed to read 4 books this week, bringing my total read so far this year to 133 books.

Posts-wise, I blogged 5 times, with the majority of those being blog tour posts.

First up though, I had my book haul post for September. For once, it was actually quite a low total!!! Catch that post here:

September Book Haul

I finally managed to post a review as well, for Only Daughter by Anna Snoekstra which I read while travelling to and from London:

Only Daughter by Anna Snoekstra

And the three blog tours were for Elizabeth Haynes, Frances Brody and Rob Enright. Click on the relevant links below to read my reviews for the ladies and my Q&A with Rob!

*Blog Tour* Never Alone by Elizabeth Haynes

*Blog Tour* Death at the Seaside by Frances Brody

*Blog Tour* Doorways by Rob Enright

That’s been my week. Next week will be quieter than recent weeks, I have three blog tours scheduled towards the weekend, but hopefully I’ll catch up on some reading and be able to get some more reviews up too!

Hope you all had a lovely weekend 🙂

Weekly Wrap Up October 2nd

Hi everyone,

It’s Sunday, which means it’s wrap up day. Now this will be a double one as I was away last week! More on that later though 😊

Bex over at Ninja Book Swap asked me to do a blog post helping to spread the word:

The Ninja Book Swap

I reviewed Erik Storey’s action thriller that had been on my TBR for aaaaages:

Nothing Short of Dying by Erik Storey

I was lucky enough to run a giveaway for a signed proof of Pendulum by Adam Hamdy which I loved:

Run by Adam Hamdy & SIGNED Pendulum Giveaway

I also hosted a stop for Andy Blackman for his new book:

*Blog Tour* For The Love of Grace by Andy Blackman

Another TBR book checked off the list when I started The Enemy series:

Dance With The Enemy by Rob Sinclair

This week opened with a blog tour, and something a little different in that I had to write a post about blogging:

*Blog Tour* The Million Dollar Blog by Natasha Courtenay Smith

I finally got to share my review for the stunning novel, The Bird Tribunal:

The Bird Tribunal by Agnes Ravatn

My lovely guest reviewer, Ellen, had her first blog tour on Wednesday:

*Blog Tour* The Mountain In My Shoe by Louise Beech

And today I had the pleasure of taking part in the blog tour for Michael Malone’s new book, A Suitable Lie:

*Blog Tour* A Suitable Lie by Michael J. Malone

That’s been the past two weeks in blogging. I’m finding it really hard to read lately, or at least hard to concentrate! This is really slowing my reading down, and my reviews all tend to be for blog tours so it feels like I’m actually not posting half enough! 🙈

I’m going to try and rectify that soon though! I’m well above my goodreads target now, I think I was at 129/75 at last look so I’m happy enough with it! 😊

And now onto London… I’m still deciding whether or not to do a separate post but for now I won’t! All I will say is that I had THE BEST TIME!!!! 😁

I got to spend QT with my husband, see the sights and go to the launch of Ragnar Jónasson’s Blackout in Goldsboro Books. Which was AMAZING!!! 😍 I think I’ll have to do a different post! 😏

Isn’t he lovely?!  😂❤️

How was your week?
