Weekly Wrap Up Feb 7th 2016

This week has marked a shift in reading speed as I’ve slowed down a lot in comparison the the past couple of weeks! 😁

I’ve only managed to read three books this week!!! Which isn’t bad, I know! The books I’ve read are all due for release next week so my reviews will be up on publication day!

Behind Closed Doors by B. A. Paris

This book was brilliant! I had been meaning to get to it for ages and once I started I could not put it down!!! It was amazing! You can read my 5⭐️ review in full on publication day!

The Defence by Steve Cavanagh

I haven’t read a legal thriller in a while, and I don’t remember the last time I read one as fantastic as The Defence! It had me reading at every spare opportunity and you can read my 5⭐️ review on publication day next week! 😉

Last but by no means least,

The Girl In The Ice by Robert Bryndza

I loved this book! LOOOOOOVED IT!!!! A brilliant, edge of your seat thriller, with everything you could want in a book! Surprise surprise, I gave TGITI 5⭐️ too!

I’m dying to post my reviews but I have to wait until publication day for all of these beauties so keep your eyes on the blog on the 11th and 12th of February! 😉

What have you all read this week?! 😊📖

Well, this week has been another decent week of reading! I’ve read 11 books and short stories this week, which brings my tally up to 31 books read this month!

31 books in 31 days!!!!!!

*this will not happen again this year* 😂

I’m going to list the novels I’ve read first as it’s less than the short stories!

My review will be put up on February 11th to coincide with the new paperback release. I gave this book 3⭐️ over on Goodreads.

Next up was a cracker of a proof copy from Fahrenheit Press. I read the whole book in one evening, I was that hooked! However, it’s not released yet so I can’t share my review! All will be revealed soon… 😉

Short Stories:

***I’m not going to review these individually, you can have a look on my Goodreads though:

My Goodreads Profile.

Dead Time by Tony Parsons

The Debt by Simon Kernick

A Textbook Case by Jeffery Deaver

Falling by Chris Mooney

Rhymes With Prey by Jeffery Deaver

The Hunter by Chris Carter

Thorn in my Side by Karin Slaughter

The Rain Killer by Luke Delaney

So there you have it, 11 books read this month! 😊

I’m doing up my February reads post tomorrow too hopefully!

What have you all been reading this week? 😊📖

Weekly Wrap Up January 24th

I’m having a nightmare with WordPress posts today so my WWU for this week is later than I’d like!!! Better late than never! 😂

I managed to get another 6 books read this week, bringing my tally up to 21 books read so far this year!

First up, The Invisible Guardian by Dolores Redondo.

I’m on the blog tour for this next week, so I’m afraid you’ll have to wait until then for my review! I gave to book 3/3.5 ⭐️ on Goodreads though. A good read and a decent start to the Baztán Trilogy!

A couple of short stories were up after this:

The Affair by Emma Kavanagh

A decent, very quick short story by Kavanagh! I had read and loved Falling (review HERE) and fellow reviewer Claire Knight recommended this to me so of course I had to have a read! A solid 4⭐️ for The Affair.

Switchblade by Michael Connelly

I forget how much I like Harry Bosch until I pick up a book by Michael Connelly. Without a doubt, one of my favourite detectives to read about. I’m going to have to make time to read the series from the start! This story is short but sweet. Retribution and regret are the main themes in play. Well worth a read if you enjoy the HB series. Another easy 5⭐️ on Goodreads.

After You Die by Eva Dolan

This book was just fab! Really enjoyed it! You can read my 5⭐️ review HERE!

The Girl You Lost by Kathryn Croft

On a roll with bloody great books this week! Next up was this beaut! I had a great review written, but it got lost in the wilderness earlier this evening! 😡 However, I have another one written, another 5⭐️ book, and you can read that review HERE.
Last but by no means least,

No Longer Safe by A.J. Waines

I finished this book earlier on today, and it was brilliant! I am STILL trying to work out the ending! 😂 You can read my 4⭐️ review HERE!

What have you all read this week?

Any standouts?! 😊📖

Weekly Wrap Up Jan 17th

This week has been an odd week for reading! I started the week reading the new Stuart Macbride book, In The Cold Dark Ground. I am no further on in it tonight, than I was on Monday night. I just couldn’t get into it, so it’s put aside to read after I’ve read ALL of the previous Logan McRae novels!
So, what did I read this week?!

Novellas/ Short Stories!!

I started with the Jefferson Winter shorties by James Carol. I have read and loved his JW novels so I decided I would read the two short stories that have been sitting on my kindle for aaaaaaages!!!

Next up, I finally got to read all of Lee Child’s Jack Reacher short stories. I have been saving Make Me to read, as it’s a long time until septembers Night School release so I figured I may as well have a read of the JR shorties.

I really enjoyed these, each one was brilliant in its own way, and they gave a nice bit of background to Jack’s life.

I also read Broken Grace by EC Diskin. It was a fairly quick read! You can find my review HERE.

Thanks to reading all of those short stories, my Goodreads tally rose significantly and apparently I’m 12 books ahead of schedule 😂 but I know that won’t last long.

I’m currently reading The Invisible Guardian by Dolores Redondo and my review will be posted on January 29th as part of the blog tour!

What did you all read this week?! 😊📖

Weekly Wrap Up!

So, I asked followers over on Twitter during the week what they would like to see more of on my blog and Weekly Wrap Up won out. 😊

I’m thinking posting every Sunday makes the most sense as it’s the end of the week. This week consists of reads from January 1st 2016 up until today (10th) and I’ll link to my reviews for each book too! 😊

Book 1:

The Darkest Secret by Alex Marwood

A book of my own choosing, maybe not the best, you can read my 2⭐️ review HERE.
Book 5:

The Five People You Meet In Heaven by Mitch Albom

Another personal choice, again not the best book, but still a solid 3⭐️ and you can read the review HERE.

Last, but by no means least…

Book 6:

Web Of Deceit by Mel Comley and Tara Lyons

My last read of the week was this DI Sally Parker novella, and you can read my 4⭐️ review by clicking HERE.
So there you have it, ten days into the new year, and I have read 6 books! Goodreads is already telling me that I’m ahead of schedule so let’s hope it stays that way! 😊
Happy reading 😊 📖
